Ocean currents and climate

Located on the equator, the Galapagos Islands are exposed to the influence of ocean currents that change the temperature in the archipelago.
The climate is pleasant all year round and can be defined two seasons.

From June to November, a dry and cool (the temperature is around 20 degrees Celsius during the day), where the mist, a kind of mist, is not a rare phenomenon. It is the best time to see nesting seabirds.

From December to May: the hot and humid (with temperatures averaging 28 degrees Celsius), where the tropical heat is tempered by the winds from the Pacific. This station is especially favorable for observing sea turtles and diving and snorkeling.
